Savita Ravte is a granddaughter of the illustrious Jivya Soma Mashe. She learned paintings from her grandfather and also practiced with her father and brothers. She marks her work in a bold traditional style while retaining the elements of a mural wall art form even as it is translated on a canvas. As an artist in the making, her works have begun to enter prominent private collections.
